Cowo & Crèche is a boutique co-working space that provides all the necessities for working professionals and an on-site nursery/preschool for career parents.
It’s often said that necessity is the mother of invention. We can also add global crisis to that old saying.
Shamena Nurse-Kingsley started Cowo & Crèche one pandemic later, having two toddlers, no suitable childcare facility, several work-from-home office iterations, and too many video call interruptions that were at best embarrassing/at worst HR complaint worthy. The daily struggle to balance parenthood with professional life gave birth to her (for now) fourth baby - Cowo & Crèche.
Within that struggle was also the realization that being around her little ones gives her much joy as milestones that would have been missed if she were in the office full time were experienced in real-time. With a heart for community building and a purpose for creating balance in an often too hectic world, there has been thoughtful intention in designing a space that inspires creativity, productivity, and success as you define it with or sans children.
Everyone needs a distraction-free zone to thrive professionally. A place where with or without a child an individual can once again feel motivated to step into a workspace. On their terms. Safely, confidently, with a renewed faith in the value of connection. We believe that life shouldn’t be done alone. Come join us as we create that balance instead of waiting for it to find us.
